Muggy weather but autumn migration begins
As usual working my local patch when I heard a cetti's Warbler calling from the undergrowth by Kirkley Ham. I assume this is a wandering individual from the Suffolk Broads some three miles to the west or could be a male that has actually set up territory. I will keep listening for it and as I have really only started the patch up it will take some time to get used to the resident birds and passage migrants.
There was a low tide at Lake Lothing by ASDA but it was holding a few BHG's but alas no passage waders. Despite full flowers on Buddlija davidii. Still no butterlies nectaring.
